Granting your browser permission to access camera, microphone or screen sharing might be tricky. Various browsers require different actions. Below you will find some instructions how to do that properly in case you face any problems.  

Chrome

1. Open your Sparkly project in Chrome browser.

2. Click Go LIVE button in the top right part of the screen. 

3. Make sure that the local camera option is enabled in video source tab.

4. When you see the request fot the first time use, please Allow to share your camera/microphone/screen sharing. 

5. Now your local camera/microphone/screenshering will be able to send signal to your project in Sparkly.

Remember: you can block access to the camera at any time. To do this, click the icon in the upper right corner and select Block.

Fixing potential problems with your mic, camera or screen sharing in Chrome browser

Option 1: Check your site permissions in Chrome 

Make sure you allow camera/mic or screen sharing access on the Spartkly site you want to use.

1. Open your Sparkly project in Chrome browser.

2. Click the icon visible in the right side of the address bar.

3. If you can't see it, click More Settings in the upper right corner .

4. Click Advanced.
5. In the Privacy and security section, click Site settings.
6. Click Camera or Microphone.
7. Turn on Ask before access option.

Option 2: Make sure to select the camera you want to use and that levels are correct:

Mozilla Firefox

1. Open your Sparkly project in Firefox browser.

2. Click Go LIVE button in the top right part of the screen.

3. Make sure that the local camera option is enabled in video source tab.

4. When you see request fot the first time use, please Allow to share your camera/microphone/screen sharing.

5. You will see a confirmation pop-up asking if you want to share your device’s camera and microphone with Sparkly site. Your device’s default camera and microphone is selected.

6. Select Remember this decision checkbox if you want Firefox to remember your choice.

7. Click Allow button if you want to share these devices with the Sparkly site.

Fix problems with your mic, camera or screensharing in Mozilla Firefox browser

Step 1: Using Firefox’s address bar to clear camera or microphone permissions for a site

1. Open your Sparkly project in Firefox.

2. Click the icon displayed on the left side of your address bar.

3. Click the "X" next to Allowed or Allowed Temporarily, to clear the status so that Firefox will ask again for permission when you next visit the site.

Step 2: Using the Firefox Preferences menu to change camera and microphone permissions

1. Open your Sparkly project in Firefox.

2. Click the menu button 

3. Select Preferences.
4. Click Privacy & Security from the left menu.
5. Scroll down to the Permissions section.
6. Click the Settings… button for the Camera or scroll down for the Microphone option.
7. Enter the www.sparklylive.com URL in the Search field to access your camera or microphone.
8. Press the Enter key. Now Sparkly site displays in the list below.
9. Click the Save Changes button.

Safari

1. Open your Sparkly project in Safari browser.

2. Click Go LIVE button in the top right part of the screen.

3. Make sure that the local camera is enabled in video source tab.

4. To change these preferences, choose Safari option in your growers's menu and scroll down to Preferences section.


5. Click Camera or scroll down for the Microphone option.
6. The site must ask if it can use the camera on your Mac.
Deny: The site can’t use your camera.
Allow: The site can always use your camera. 

Microphone: The site must ask if it can use the microphone on your Mac.
Deny: The site can’t use your microphone.
Allow: The site can always use your microphone.
